For students of 5В011900 – Foreign language: two foreign languages specialty for all forms of teaching This textbook is based upon a series of lectures on English Lexicology delivered at the M.Auezov’s South Kazakhstan State University. The theoretical Course in English lexicology forms a part of the curriculum for the English linguistics Department in Foreign Language and Linguistic institutes. In accordance with the basic aim it incorporate lectures, topics for discussion and exercises that cover the main areas of lexicology. The Course highlights the recent tendencies in the linguistic sciences; it combines theoretical study and practice.
