Scientific directions of research:
Research Laboratory of “Multiphysical Modeling of Structures, Devices and Processes” (“MMSDP”)”
Purpose: Creation of an algorithm and development of multiphysics models of structures, devices and processes.
Scientific directions of research:
- Analysis of individual and interconnected physical processes, creation and administration of models and applications using the universal numerical modeling environment COMSOL Multiphysics;
- The use of COMSOL Multiphysics extension modules, which contain special functions for modeling electromagnetic and acoustic fields, calculating the stress-strain state of solids, numerical analysis of hydrodynamic, heat transfer and chemical processes;
- A mathematical transformation that adapts a system of finite element equations to the requirements of an iterative solver, which allows the use of preconfigured combinations of multiphysics interfaces and the inclusion of physics phenomena not included in the consideration initially;
- Studies of conventional flow in porous media based on Darcy's law, analysis of non-Darcy flow and multiphysics flow analysis including heat transfer effects, applications in chemical production, etc.
Multiphysics modeling in COMSOL Multiphysics software is especially useful because nanoscale phenomena and complex systems require the analysis of multiple physics processes and the use of a full suite of modeling tools. COMSOL Multiphysics software is used in numerical modeling to solve a variety of technical and research problems, including in relation to educational activities. Today, the COMSOL Multiphysics package is one of the leaders in the software market for numerical modeling of interdisciplinary (multiphysics) problems and is increasingly used not only in research laboratories and educational centers, but also in industry.
