On June 19-23, 2019, the Youth Public Association “ACCESS Graduates of the City of Shymkent ASAA, with the financial support of the A.M. Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Foundation, holds an International Youth Meeting of the public diplomacy of the CIS countries on the topic: “Responsibility and the role of representatives of the young generations in the development of public diplomacy in the modern multicultural environment".

One of the project partners is the Council of Young Scientists of the M.Auezov South Kazakhstan State University.

A modern, rapidly and dynamically changing international environment requires promising specialists to have both fundamental knowledge of history and foreign policy, and new, special skills that enable them to respond quickly to existing challenges and threats - and thereby effectively promote the interests of their countries on the world stage. One of the tools contributing to the development of such skills is, of course, a regularly held discussion platform, training, where young professionals could exchange views on the global and regional agenda and jointly receive new skills while learning and collaborating.

1st part in Kazakhstan: International Youth Meeting of the public diplomacy of the CIS countries. Responsibility and the role of representatives of the younger generation in the development of public diplomacy in the modern multicultural environment.

The second part in Kyrgyzstan, where the organizing partners will be the Kyrgyz State Law Academy with the theme: International Summer School of Public Diplomacy: “The Silk Road and the Eurasian Economic Union: Prospects for Integration and Cooperation. The role of young diplomats in integration processes ".

The uniqueness and significance of the project lies in the fact that it gathers young active representatives of youth and NGOs, the project is one of the modern and timely steps to develop public diplomacy, which should give impetus to the development of international youth cooperation.

The event is social in nature and is aimed at developing tools for public diplomacy between countries and strengthening international youth cooperation and creating a network of young experts.

Topics for discussion and training:

public diplomacy and “soft power” as tools for identifying and resolving pressing issues of the economic and political sector, green economy, SDGs, leadership, interstate project management, strategic planning, interstate relations today and mechanisms for strengthening relationships, developing cooperation and partnership, management skills negotiations at international sites, etc.

Specialists and experts from 18 to 35 years from various CIS countries working in the fields of diplomacy, journalism, economics, culture, political science, law, psychology and a number of other fields will be able to take part in the project.
