On April 4-5, 2024, the XXVII Republican Student Scientific Conference on Natural, Technical, socio–humanitarian and economic sciences "VECTORS OF DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH SCIENCE" will begin work at the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University.

Student youth science is a field of activity and organization of scientific and practical events and scientific projects, which ensures the improvement, coordination and support of research work of students and young scientists, is engaged in creating conditions for scientific and technical creativity of young people based on domestic and foreign experience and the results of scientific developments of scientists, as well as seeks to expand to increase the mass participation and effectiveness of students and young scientists in scientific activities.

In 2023, the university had 13 student scientific societies (SSS), 81 student scientific circles (SSC), 4 student design bureaus (SDB) "Roboticist", "Mechanic", "Motorist", "Biotechnics", 4 student technology bureaus (STB) "Munaishi", "Technologist", "Kurylys materialdary", "Balamaly energetikalyk zhuyeler".   The number of students actively engaged in science through the SSS, SSC, SDB and STB amounted to 2177 students. The results of the students' research work in 2023 were noted at various olympiads and competitions of different levels. Including the winners:

• International competitions and olympiads – 30 students;
• National research and development competitions – 28 students;
• Republican subject olympiads – 51 students;
• The Republican competition of the Nazarbayev Foundation – 1 student.

The main goals and objectives of the conference are to stimulate research and educational and cognitive activities of students, attract students to solving scientific problems of our time, reveal creative abilities, select and support the most talented and gifted students, reveal creative abilities, select and support the most talented and gifted students.

The conference will be attended by students of higher educational institutions of other regions and cities of the country, students of colleges and secondary specialized educational institutions of our city. The conference will be held in 68 sections in various fields of science.  An exhibition of the best scientific projects of students and schoolchildren of Shymkent will be held within the framework of the conference.
