SOCIAL COOPERATION IN EDUCATION AND SCIENCE IS STRENGTHENING

This was announced today at a meeting with the delegation of the Malaysian Embassy at the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov. The guests of the university were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Kazakhstan Mohd Adli Abdullah, Advisor to the Ambassador Mohd Idkham Mokhlis Akhmat Zamri. Issues of expanding cooperation in the field of education and science of the two countries were discussed.
The Chairman of the Council, temporary acting Rector of the University, G. Besbayev congratulated the guests. He noted that Auezov University has been cooperating with higher education institutions of Malaysia since 2011, and at the present time scientists from leading universities in the country are exchanging experience with us in the field of research in the food engineering.
- The two countries have very close connections. There are branches of 20 state, 160 private and 10 foreign educational institutions in Malaysia. In the field of science and education, 31 memorandums of understanding have been created. Cooperation with universities in Astana and Almaty is developing successfully. Now it has been decided to start cooperation with educational institutions in other regions of Kazakhstan. For this purpose, the 80-year-old Auezov University in Shymkent, in a city which is considered to be an investment hub, was chosen, and we specially came to you, - Mr. Mohd Adli Abdullah said in his speech.
During the meeting, the parties discussed such opportunities as promoting educational opportunities, double diploma, student internships within the framework of academic mobility programs.
