DELEGATION OF EU AMBASSADORS VISITS AUEZOV UNIVERSITY

Today, a delegation of Ambassadors from the countries of the European Union arrived at the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University for a working visit. The delegation was led by Roman Yuryevich Vassilenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It included the EU Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Aleshka Simich, and the Ambassadors of Austria, Croatia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Poland and Portugal.
The guests were warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Darkhan Akhmed-Zhaki Zhumakanuly. During the official welcoming ceremony, a national folklore ensemble and women in traditional dress paid tribute to the delegation.
The ambassadors of the EU countries expressed their gratitude for the hospitality and generosity of Shymkent, the third city of republican importance in our country.
It is worth noting that the European Union and the Republic of Kazakhstan have been partners since Kazakhstan's independence in 1991. The Member States of the Union actively cooperate in the fields of education, scientific research, international relations and partnerships with leading scientific institutes and universities.
