From 24 to 25 September 2018 on the basis of M.Auezov South Kazakhstan State University held a number of cultural events with the participation in honor of the celebration of the Day of Korean culture of the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr.Jeon Seung Min.

During the visit, General Consul Mr.Jeon Seung Min met with the rector of M.Auezov SKSU Kozhamzharova Dariya Perneshnovna, where the parties discussed issues and prospects for bilateral further cooperation in the field of education and science with universities in South Korea.

During the visit, Mr.Jeon Seung Min held a special session for students of the faculty of "Jurisprudence and International Relations" on the theme «Ways to expand partnership of the two countries». During the lecture, Consul Jeon Seung Min spoke about the history of the country's formation, as well as about traditions and culture and about the strategic partnership of  the two countries.

As part of the cultural event was organized a concert of K-POP and Samulnori. K-POP is a musical genre that originated in South Korea and incorporates elements of Western electro-pop, hip-hop, dance music, Samulnori - one of the most interesting phenomena in Korean culture, which is a game with original percussion instruments - Chang, Puk, Khwengwari , Chin.
