TURKMENISTAN CULTURE DAY CELEBRATED AT THE UNIVERSITY

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality. In honour of this occasion, the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University organized a festive event "Turkmenistan Culture Day".
A concert programme dedicated to the history, culture and traditions of the brotherly country was organised, featuring performances by Turkmen students. The event was attended by Kurmangaly Sarykulov, Acting First Vice-Rector of the University and Dean of the Faculty of Philology, and Associate Professor Azimkhan Orazbaiuly. They spoke about the friendship, cultural links and cooperation in higher education between the two countries.
"Turkmenistan holds a special place on the international stage. Our countries have established cooperation in the field of higher education and science. Currently, 567 Turkmen students are studying at our university. I wish them to receive a quality education and apply their knowledge in their homeland,” said K. Sarykulov.

During the festive evening, international students of Faculty of Philology performed national songs, showed traditional dances and presented works of national handicrafts. They also sang Kazakh folk songs and recited poems by the great Abai.
