The heritage of Khantagy is a testament to descendants
It is impossible to build a future without knowing the history of the native land.
The head of our state in his programmatic article “Glimpse into the future is a modernization of public consciousness” noted: “On the path of modernization, we must revive moral values and virtuous qualities inherited from our ancestors.” Therefore, the most pressing, important issues in the study of the history of the native land are the study, study of historical places, ancient settlements, ancient cities.
In our southern region there are also many legendary sacred places. One of them is the village Khantagy located in the foothills of Karatau, which was once a center of culture and art, commerce and civilization.
Recently, in Kentau, the Youth Resource Center hosted a scientific-theoretical conference «Хантағы мұрасы – ұрпаққа аманат» - “Heritage of Khantagy is a testament to descendants”. The conference was aimed at popularizing this ancient settlement.
The conference was opened by the akim of the city of Kentau A. Makulbayev. The conference was moderated by the head of the Center for Pre-University Training at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Chairman of the Regional Society of Historians and Political Scientists Seydekhan Alibek. Among the historians invited to the conference were Dr. PhD B. Izenbaev and a number of young scientists from our Center.
Reports of domestic and foreign scientists were presented at the conference. These reports analyzed and summarized information about Khantagy, the questions of turning this settlement into a place of tourist pilgrimage. Special attention was paid to the past and present of Khantagy, located at the foot of Karatau, as well as the tremendous value of historical artifacts found in Khantag's caves.
At the end of the conference, the significance of this settlement in raising the younger generation was noted, which is of great importance for the spiritual revival of our country, and a number of resolutions were adopted on the basis of the conference.
The song “Khantagy” was performed to the words of the Honorary Citizen of Kentau R. Balabiyev to the music of Professor IKTU. Kh. A. Yasavi B. Serdely and the famous composer A. Botkaraev.
