Center for advanced technologies Department of science and production
Objective: Improving the scientific level and significance of the university scientific research works.
Tasks:
- Providing the university’s teaching staff with information on the priority areas of science of Kazakhstan and regional business for conclusion of contracts and development of projects for grant financing;
- Discussion and selection of advanced scientific ideas for development of scientific programs and projects;
- Consultations of scientific managers of projects and programs on the design and submission of projects for financing by customers;
- Organizational assistance in carrying out studies on search and grant projects.
Main achievements, research results, patents, articles, developments of the center:
1. Inter-chair laboratory “High-temperature synthesis of composite materials and metallurgical processes” (HTS and MP) was created. The laboratory provides services to PhD students and candidates for a master’s degree of the following chairs:
- Technology of electrothermal productions and metallurgy,
- Technology of silicates and synthesis of materials
- Mechanical engineering, “Foundry practice” specialty.
2. The center prepared to the competition and projects were won:
Report of the Division for preparation and follow-up of projects (the head of the division Bazhirov T.S.)
3. Preparation of advertising stands and design of agricultural machines and laboratory units (Design bureau of the Department of science and production, resp. Satayev T.M.)
4. The HTS and MP laboratory fulfilled the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the contract No. 345 “Secret”, materials of scientific results are not allowed for open press. Application has been filed for obtaining a patent of the Republic of Kazakhstan marked “Secret”. Implementation of project on processing distillate fluid into marketable products under the economic contract with JSC “Salt Technologies” has been organized, the performer is Testing regional laboratory of engineering profile “Constructional and biochemical materials”.
Work with industrial enterprises:
The center consults representatives of production and managers of start-up projects on technological and design directions, for example ferroalloy plant “LLP “Steklo K”, etc. We organize training courses for smelters and foundry workers for enterprises of Shymkent.
