She was born in Molodezhny district of Karaganda region. She honorably graduated from the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical Institute with a degree in Pedagogy and (preschool) Psychology.

She began her career in 1991 as a trainee-researcher at the Department of Methodology of Preschool Education of the Kazakh State Women Pedagogical University, promoted to the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Pre-School Education (1992-2000).

In 2007, A.T. Iskakova  successfully defended her Candidate's dissertation on the topic "Development of International Educational Technologies titled “StepbyStep”  in Pre-School Institutions in Kazakhstan (1994-2006) at the Dissertation Council under the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Yassawi.

Since  2011 to 2017 A.T. Iskakova  has worked as Deputy Head of the Rector's Office at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University; worked as Chief Scientific Secretary, Corporate Secretary so far.
Since 2017 A.T. Iskakova worked as a director of the International Cooperation Department at the above mentioned university. During her tenure at the University, the University ranked 481 in the Top 500QSWorld University Ranking in 2017, with a 5% increase in international student enrollment, Erasmus +, DAAD, Mevlana international projects, dual degree programs, and  indicators has  increased.
A.T. Iskakova has gained immense international experience, her constant effective trainings in the near and far abroad (USA, UK, Spain, Hungary, Czech Republic, etc.) have promoted her  professional and international thinking. She has intensively  participated in international projects of UNICEF, UNESCO, USAID, TACIS, and has more than 50 certificates on innovative technologies in education.
She was nominated as a graduate of the “Bolashak” International Program. In 2013, She completed a scientific internship in the United Kingdom (University of Northampton) in the specialty 1.77 T - Theory and Methods of Preschool Education.

Aigul Iskakova being a leading  PhD scientist-researcher supervises many master's and doctoral dissertations, she is the author of more than 110 scientific papers (Harsha-2 index), member of the International Association for Talented Children (USA), a member of the International Association of  “StepbyStep” (London), and She is also member of authorship union on development of  curriculum for the specialty  `` 7M012-Preschool Education and Teaching '' (2019).
Aigul Iskakova was awarded with the title "The best teacher of High Educational Establishment-2016".
Her merits, creative and responsible attitude to her job has been awarded with letters of gratitude from international organizations, departmental awards from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the title of Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2015). Among of her rewards I can as well nominate  the Award of Y.Altynsarin breastplate (2018).
