Head of the center - Kamaldinov Rakhimbek Absatovich - candidate of historical sciences, associate professor
Mission - We are focused on generating new competencies to train a new leader who translates research and entrepreneurial thinking and culture.
Goals and objectives:
- The formation of the qualitative composition of graduates and their adaptation to contemporary historical transformations ;
- Attracting representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora and foreign applicants from abroad to pre-University training courses in the course of career guidance;
- Improvement of the educational process in preparation for comprehensive testing for admission to universities in Kazakhstan;
- Improving the indicators of admission to universities of students of the course.
The history of the pre-university training center:
By the decision of the Academic Council of SKU named after M.Auezov on October 14, 2002, The center for preparation for admission to higher educational institutions of the country was established on a grant basis. In October 2004, the Center was reorganized into the faculty of work with foreign students as a result of joining the center of preparatory courses for representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora from abroad, as well as a contingent of foreign full-time students.
In August 2018, foreign students of our faculty were transferred to the faculty of international relations of the University. And the faculty of work with foreign students and pre-University training was reorganized into the"center for pre-University training". During the year, students of the Kazakh Diaspora are trained in the following subjects: Kazakh language, mathematics, history of Kazakhstan and the subject of their choice: biology, chemistry, physics, geography, English, world history, Russian.
Main activity:
* training courses for representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora from abroad;
* paid preparatory courses for foreign citizens;
* preparatory courses for graduates of regional and city schools.
Material and technical base:
The center for pre-University training of M.Auezov SKU provides all conditions for study, life and leisure for representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora from abroad. A modern library, an electronic reading room, a resource center, free Internet, an Assembly hall, a medical office, a dining room, a 5-storey dormitory located next to the academic building are the necessary conditions for students to receive a high – quality education.
In addition, students of the Center have the opportunity to play sports in their free time in the sports complex "Burevestnik", located near the school building.
Students are awarded a scholarship at the expense of the state, and travel expenses are reimbursed once a year.
Team members:
Classes at the pre-University training Center are conducted by highly qualified specialists: doctors of science, masters. In order to provide high-quality education and upbringing, the Center conducts educational work on a planned basis. Students of the Center are divided into groups depending on the chosen specialty, each group is assigned a curator.
More than 80% of students trained at the Center are holders of state educational grants from higher educational institutions.
The vast majority of foreign Kazakh youth who have been trained at the Center and entered universities, after their graduation, remain in their historical homeland and make a worthy contribution to the development and prosperity of Kazakhstan.
