Participation of the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University’s delegation in the Symposium "Innovation in Energy Conversion – A Physical Chemistry Perspective" within the University of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (USCO)

(People's Republic of China, Beijing, on September 24-27, 2017)

In the period of September 24 till September 27, 2017 on the basis of the North China Electric Power University the Symposium "Innovation in Energy Conversion – A Physical Chemistry Perspective"  has been carried out in the direction of power industry within SCO of 2017 where representatives from the countries of Central Asia and the Russian Federation have taken part. 

For the purpose of the cooperation establishment and participation in the symposium the delegation from M. Auezov SKSU under the leadership of the rector of the University Myrkhalykov Zh.U. and  prorector on study and information technology Baibolov K.S has been directed. On the Symposium issues of development of further educational and scientific cooperation between participants of the USCO in the field  of power energy have been revealed and set, on completion of an action the tasks of search and updating of processes of training of students, deepening of research cooperation, joint implementation of educational and research programs for young teachers, and the organizations of programs of exchange of students within summer camps and other actions have been considered.

During the performance on an official part of a symposium the rector of M. Auezov SKSU Myrkhalykov Zhumakhan Ushkempirovich has noted «… that joint efforts of scientific higher education institutions of USCO have to be concentrated on the solution of questions of sustainable power development, researches in the field of energy preparedness and also consideration of complex questions of the environment preservation in power supply systems and that within SCO a number of joint projects are implemented, including the Chinese initiative "The Belt and Road" which already became the worldwide project and that geographical expansion of SCO and prospects of the "The Belt and Road " program are offered for our universities by new opportunities in innovative, scientific and technical cooperation, especially in the field of energy power». Also in the report there were discussed the questions of training of specialists and he has emphasized that today the experts, who are ready to work in the multicultural environment, conceiving proactively and globally, are necessary for projects of SCO. Also, of course, they have to know partner country’s language.

For establishment of partnership there was held the initiative meeting between the management of  M. Auezov SKSU and the President of the North China Electric Power University Mr. Young  Yongping where the Cooperation agreement between M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University and North China Electric Power University was officially signed. Issues of further cooperation in exchange and joint training of specialists in the power direction have been discussed at the meeting.

On September 27, 2017 within the stay at Beijing (People's Republic of China) for the purpose of establishment of cooperation and acquaintance the delegation of the university has visited the China University of Petroleum. During the visit the meeting with the management and scientists of the foreign university has been held, also issues of long-term interaction on training of specialists in the field of oil and chemical engineering have been discussed at the meeting, in the course of which  2 agreements on development and implementation of joint educational master programs have been signed.
