From February 20 to March 3, 2023, the Center for the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility and the Faculty of History and Pedagogy will organize the international winter school "Auezov University-2023". The International Winter School is based on research, directions and new research in the field of history, libraries and archives. It consists in determining the role of libraries and archives in preserving historical memory.
In general, the international winter school is attended by authoritative teachers, professors and librarians of the country working in the field of historical science, as well as scientists and professors working in the field of history, museum, archival and library science from far and near abroad. countries. In particular, qualified scientists and professors from the USA, Russia, Turkey and Uzbekistan will present a report on determining the role of libraries and archives in preserving historical memory.
At the winter school, leading professors of domestic and foreign higher educational institutions give lectures in Kazakh and Russian. This winter school allows specialists to improve their knowledge, master modern courses and increase the number of credits in their diplomas.
The event will be held online on the ZOOM platform for two weeks from February 20 to March 3, 2023. Following the results of the international winter school, it is planned to publish a collection of articles jointly with the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan. At the end of the winter school, students will receive certificates and a transcript in the amount of three credits. In the future, the international winter school will have a positive impact on expanding the scope of cooperation and creating joint educational programs, connecting universities, students and young scientists from different countries with creative ideas for the emergence of new projects.
Advanced training in OP 6B03210-Library science
The teaching staff of the educational program OP 6B03211 - "Library and pedagogical activity" is undergoing advanced training according to the approved long-term and annual plan.
Advanced training in the 2022-2023 academic year at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was held by senior teachers Seytimbetova D.E., Toyeva M.E., YUKU named after M.Auezov Sagindikova A.A.
Advanced training in the 2021-2022 academic year was completed by Ph.D., associate professors Musayeva S.T. and Kukeeva M.K., Professor Alsatov T.M., senior lecturer of the department Labenova R.S., Balymova Zh., Tastybaeva R.K. All the above-mentioned teachers received Certificates (72 hours in length).
Student practice
The practice of students is the main component of the vocational education program. The purpose of the practice under the educational program 6B03211 - "Library and pedagogical activity" is to deepen and strengthen the knowledge gained by students during the period of theoretical training, to gain practical experience and the necessary skills and abilities in the specialties they study.
In accordance with the curriculum, students undergo a 1 - week training and familiarization internship in the 1st year after the spring session. Production practice is organized in the 2nd Year - 3 weeks, in the 3rd Year - 6 weeks, in the 4th year - 10 weeks. In addition, pre – graduate practice is provided for students of the 4th year.

Academic mobility
Only the country that can train specialists corresponding to the dictates of the time will be successful in the future. The problems of training and training of personnel are coming to the forefront in geopolitics and global competition.
At the level of implementation of specific programs, the leadership of the M.Auezov University of South Kazakhstan makes a great contribution to the provision and development of academic mobility of teaching staff.
So, within the walls of the University, on the basis of the Department of "General History and Museum Business" of the Faculty of History and Pedagogy, systemic relations with Turkish partners and colleagues from the USA have been established.
In order to achieve a scientific exchange of experience between universities of the countries, leading specialists are invited to give lectures, conduct scientific seminars and master classes, and consultations for students. In the fraternal Republic of Turkey, for the Department of Historians and Bibliographers, the partner is the University of Kutahya Dumlupinar.
Since mid-November 2022, the Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of Vezhi Sefa Fuat Hekimoglu has been lecturing students at the Faculty of History and Pedagogy. Also, since the beginning of November, within the framework of the international Fulbright program, Dr. PhD, Professor of Indiana State University (Bloomington, USA), Candidate of Philological Sciences, librarian-bibliographer, Arabist, Head of the Middle East, Islamic and Central Eurasian Fund of the Indiana University Library Habibullaev Akram has been lecturing for students and undergraduates. Mr. Akram Khabibullayev is an orientologist (orientalist) of the highest level, it is enough to indicate that he is fluent in six languages.
In the walls of Auyezov University, Professor A.Khabibullayev read lectures and seminars for students in offline mode using information and communication technologies. They were also given scientific consultations and presented a master class for young researchers and applicants of the department.
The head of the department, Candidate of Historical Sciences Otarbayeva Gulzhan Kubeevna, puts a lot of effort into bringing existing ties to a qualitatively new level, calling foreign scientists to close cooperation within the framework of double-degree education programs, as well as to participate in grant programs, international projects, international scientific research, etc.
