Learning outcomes |
LO1 To communicate in a professional environment and society in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages fluently with an understanding of academic written speech; LO2 To demonstrate socio-cultural, professional development, based on the formation of ideological, civic, spiritual and social responsibility, academic honesty and decency, methods of theoretical and experimental research; LO3To possess information and computational literacy, the ability to generalize, analyze and perceive information, set goals and choose ways to achieve it; LO 4 To compare basic and professional concepts about general linguistic theories of translation and intercultural communication, and their relationship with translation practice; LO 5 To ensure the most correct and equivalent translation / interpretation of the source text, demonstrating the professional level of the language (CEFR level B2-C1) and effective acquisition of a second foreign language (CEFR level B1, A1, A2); LO 6 To analyze the semantic structure of the text in order to highlight key information, applying the norms and rules of text editing; LO 7 To realize an effective solution to pragma-professional tasks and problems in the process of translating written, oral-authentic scientific, popular science and journalistic texts; LO 8 To master a complex of technical methods of oral and written translation; LO 9 To perform oral consecutive translation in compliance with the equivalence and adequacy of the source text; PO 10 To translate the text taking into account the results of the pre-translation analysis and in accordance with the genre and stylistic norms of the target language adopted in the relevant subject area; LO11 Use research, entrepreneurial skills and skills of working in conditions of uncertainty; LO12 Effectively work individually and as a member of a team, demonstrating the skills of self-education and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. |
