At M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, informational sessions for young people continue as part of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s address concerning the nuclear power plant project.

Today, the university hosted an event named "Nuclear Power Plant – Our Future, Our Development," where university leaders, faculty, and students discussed the strategic significance of building the plant. Acting Chairman of the Board and Rector, Gani Besbayev, outlined the advantages and economic benefits of nuclear power plants. Associate Professor Ramil Ilyasov, PhD in technical sciences, explained that constructing the plant would enhance the country’s energy security and reduce its dependence on external markets. PhD holders and Associate Professors G. Turymbetova and G. Sakhmetova also addressed the project’s environmental and social aspects.
