Purpose of the EP

Prepare competitive bachelors who are able to solve production problems, conduct design and research activities in the field of technology for the production and processing of polymers, elastomers and paint materials.

Learningoutcomes

LO1. Freely communicate in the professional environment and society in Kazakh, Russian and English to solve the problems of interpersonal and intercultural interaction, taking into account the principles of academic writing and the culture of academic honesty;

LO2. Demonstrate general educational, natural science, mathematical, socio-economic and engineering knowledge in professional activities, knowledge of methods of mathematical data processing, methods of scientific and experimental research, knowledge of regulatory documents and elements of economic analysis;

LO3. Plan and conduct scientific research in the field of oil and petrochemicals using the methodology of modeling and conducting a scientific experiment.

LO4. Obtain oil and gas refining products using fundamental knowledge of the physical and chemical laws of oil refining processes, rationally using hydrocarbon raw materials.

LO5. Control the processing and processing of oil, gas and solid combustible minerals in accordance with the process regulations and use technical means to measure the main parameters of technological processes, properties of raw materials and products.

LO6. Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of raw materials and products of oil and gas processing in accordance with international standards of quality and safety using traditional and modern physicochemical methods of analysis.

LO7. Select and justify an optimal and reasonable production scheme based on the introduction of modern high-tech equipment, in compliance with the rules of safety, industrial sanitation, fire safety, labor protection standards and environmental protection requirements.

LO8. Know the skills of calculating material and heat flows, selecting the main and additional equipment for processing, production, transportation and storage of oil and gas, during the design and modernization of process units.

LO9. Master the skills of information and communication, digital technologies and the processing of experimental data for the synthesis, analysis and perception of information.

LO10. Demonstrate the skills of self-education, self-education, a healthy lifestyle throughout life, work in a team, skills to design performance.
