Purpose

Training of qualified masters of social sciences who have the skills of research work, who are able to apply modern methods of scientific and analytical research of international relations with a comprehensive understanding and analysis of global processes, who possess scientific and practical methods of teaching disciplines in their specialty.

- organizational and managerial activities in government and administration bodies (Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Parliament, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Civil Society and its structure, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its structure, akimats);

- advisory and expert - to provide qualified advice and act as an expert on issues of international relations, diplomacy, national or regional foreign policy.

- research activities in the direction of training in analytical and research centers and institutes;

- information-analytical - gaining the skills of analytical thinking, be able to professionally use information flows for the qualified processing of received data, while giving a detailed analysis of current events and phenomena of reality;

- teaching activities in the field of training (in higher education) in the educational field.

Learning outcomes

LО1 To effectively apply communication skills and abilities, to be fluent and demonstrate knowledge of the state and one foreign language at a sufficient professional level, to be fluent in scientific literary and business written and oral speech in the conditions of multilingualism, skills of international public speech.

LО2 Integrate the knowledge gained within the framework of various disciplines of international relations to solve research and practical problems in the new conditions of international integration, analyze the main ideological and scientific-methodological problems, including those of a subject, interdisciplinary and complex nature, arising in the branches of science of international relations at the present stage of its development, evaluate various facts and phenomena based on the provisions and categories of the philosophy of science.

LО3 Demonstrate competence in the field of scientific and scientific-pedagogical activity in higher educational institutions using modern information technologies and the use of interactive teaching methods, own socio-psychological technologies of personnel management in the organization and mass behavior.

LО4 To organize the research work of undergraduates both individually and in a team, to defend their point of view correctly, to correct their actions, to show a creative and creative approach and logical thinking when solving scientific and managerial tasks in non-standard situations in professional activity.

LО5 Coordinate the knowledge of scientific theories, schools and directions in research and scientific and pedagogical practice, conduct a systematic analysis and assessment of the situation in various spheres of world politics, mega trends, the role of globalization, the development of management in practical and scientific terms, the activities of major global actors at the global and regional levels.

LО6 Summarize the problems of regional and global level in the field of bilateral and multilateral interaction using the methods of research on economic and political trends in Central Asia and the EU in the framework of educational and research activities.

LО7 To develop and formulate relevant research tasks on global and regional security issues, taking into account new security dimensions, and apply appropriate methods to solve them; to classify international terrorism as a global problem of our time, to predict ways to solve them within the framework of professional activity.

LО8 On the basis of theoretical approaches of modern international relations, fill out the results of scientific research in the form of articles, analytical reports, master's theses, use the acquired knowledge, critical analysis skills to develop and apply original ideas in the context of independent scientific research.
